頭皮是全身皮脂腺最多的地方，甚至比臉部的T-zone還要多兩倍，而平常分泌的汗與皮脂的混合物，其實有保護及滋潤頭皮的功能，不過當皮脂被皮膚表面的細菌分解並氧化變成脂肪酸時，就會刺激頭皮，有機會引致發炎、發紅、產生異味，繼而引起瘙癢。
若果平日有使用造型產品的習慣，及後又沒有適當清潔，化學物會一併殘留在頭皮及毛髮上；又或者經常戴帽，影響頭皮呼吸，便會引致一連串問題如毛孔堵塞、暗瘡，甚至掉髮等。加上夏天溫度與濕度高，非常適合細菌繁殖，因此我們必須加強頭皮清潔及排毒！
